Statement date: September 29, 2026. Last reviewed: September 29, 2026.

The short version

  • Done-Rite Plumbing and Rooter, doing business as The Done-Rite Plumber, wants everyone to be able to find a plumber on this site, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
  • We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the benchmark commonly used for the Americans with Disabilities Act and California's Unruh Civil Rights Act.
  • Keyboard navigation, screen-reader landmarks, visible focus, readable contrast, real form labels and reduced-motion support are built in.
  • Some third-party pieces, such as spam protection and map links, are outside our control and may not meet the same standard.
  • If anything gets in your way, call (714) 605-2950, 6:00am to 7:00pm daily, and we will help you by phone, including taking your service request. Or email [email protected]. We aim to reply within 2 business days.

1. Our commitment

Done-Rite Plumbing and Rooter is committed to making thedoneriteplumber.com accessible to people with disabilities, including visitors who use screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control, switch devices, keyboard-only navigation, captions or high-contrast and reduced-motion settings. We treat accessibility problems as defects to be fixed, not as optional enhancements, and we apply the same commitment to the way we serve customers by phone and in person.

2. Conformance target

Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. Courts, regulators and businesses commonly use WCAG 2.1 or 2.2 Level AA as the benchmark for website accessibility under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and it is the standard we use to judge this site. The site is partially conformant today: most content and functions meet the standard, and the exceptions we know about are listed in section 4. Conformance is checked on the pages this site publishes; content published on other platforms we link to is covered in section 5.

3. What is built in

  • Skip link. A "skip to main content" link is the first focusable element on every page.
  • Structure. Semantic landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer), one descriptive H1 per page, and a logical heading order so screen-reader users can jump between sections.
  • Keyboard operability. Every link, button, menu, accordion and form control can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, in a sensible order, with no keyboard traps.
  • Visible focus. A clear focus indicator on every interactive element, aimed at the WCAG 2.2 focus-visible and focus-not-obscured criteria.
  • Expanded-state announcements. Accordions and menus report whether they are open or closed to assistive technology. FAQ answers are present in the page markup whether or not a panel is open.
  • Colour and contrast. Text and interface colours are chosen to meet the AA contrast ratio (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and UI components), and information is never conveyed by colour alone.
  • Images. Meaningful images carry alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Forms. Every field has a visible label, required fields are marked, error messages are specific and announced, and the quote form asks for only six fields so it can be completed quickly.
  • Motion. Animations and scrolling effects are turned off when your device requests reduced motion.
  • Target size and spacing. Buttons and tap targets are sized and spaced for touch and pointer use, per WCAG 2.2 target-size guidance.
  • Resizable text and reflow. Pages remain usable at 200 percent zoom and reflow to a single column on narrow screens without horizontal scrolling.
  • Real links for phone and address. Phone numbers dial and addresses open a map when tapped, on any device.
  • Plain language. Service pages and guides are written in plain English with short sections, and a plumbing glossary explains technical terms.
  • Cookie notice. The cookie banner is a labelled region with two real buttons. It does not trap focus, and while it is open the page reserves space for it so it never covers links or focused controls.

4. Known limitations

We know about the following limitations and are working on them.

  • Spam protection on forms. Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise, which is provided by Google and may present challenges that are hard for some assistive-technology users. If a form will not submit for you, call (714) 605-2950 or email [email protected] and we will take your request directly.
  • Job photos. Some photos in the gallery and on service pages have short alternative text that describes the job in general terms rather than every detail.
  • PDF and downloadable documents. If we publish invoices, warranty documents or offer flyers as PDFs, older files may not be tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will provide the content in an accessible format.
  • Content added later. New articles and photos are added over time. We check them against this standard when they are published, but a recently added item may briefly fall short before it is corrected.

5. Third-party content and embeds

Parts of the experience are provided by third parties we do not control and whose accessibility we cannot guarantee. These include Google reCAPTCHA on our forms; Google Maps and Google Business Profile pages we link to for directions; review platforms we link to (Google, Yelp and Angi); our payment link host and lenders' sites; and any chat widget or reviews widget from a third-party provider if we add one. Where a third-party tool creates a barrier, we will always offer the same information or service by phone.

6. Assistive technology and browser support

The site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge on desktop and mobile, and with common assistive technologies including VoiceOver on iOS and macOS, TalkBack on Android, NVDA and JAWS on Windows, browser zoom and operating-system high-contrast and reduced-motion settings. It does not require any plug-in. If you use a combination we have not tested and something does not work, please tell us.

7. How we check and maintain accessibility

  • We run automated accessibility checks during development.
  • We check the quote form and other key pages with a keyboard when they change.
  • We re-check colour contrast whenever the brand palette or a component changes.
  • This statement is reviewed at least once every 12 months, and whenever a major change to the site is made. The next scheduled review is September 2027.

8. Need help right now?

9. Reporting an accessibility problem

We welcome your feedback. To report a barrier, contact us by any of the methods below and, if you can, tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, the browser and assistive technology you were using, and what happened.
