Pipe bursting
A trenchless replacement method that pulls a bursting head through the old sewer pipe, breaking it outward, while dragging a new pipe into the space behind it. It replaces the line rather than lining it, still through access pits at each end.
How does bursting compare with lining?
Bursting gives you a brand-new pipe of full diameter and can replace pipe that is too damaged to line. Lining keeps the old pipe as a host and is gentler on nearby utilities. Which one fits depends on the pipe condition, what is around it, and the access at each end.
