Pinhole leak
A very small hole that opens in a copper water line from internal pitting. It sprays or weeps rather than gushes, so it is often found by a stain, a warm spot, or a rising water bill rather than by sight.
Is one pinhole leak a sign of more to come?
Sometimes. If the pipe around the leak looks healthy, a section repair is fine. If the repair reveals pitting along the pipe, or this is the second or third pinhole in the house, the piping is telling you it is at the end of its life.
